This is a quick guide I put together showing how to mirror your Batocera system to any device that can run the application “moonlight” ie. iPhones, Android other pc and laptops running windows or Linux and many other devices! The guide will show how to add sunshine to your Batocera System and how to add moonlight to your secondary device! “Sunshine” is the application that we will use to mirror your Batocera system your and “Moonlight” is the application that will connect to sunshine and display our Batocera system on our secondary device ie. iPhone, Android etc.

Step 1. Installing a Web Browser to Batocera
- Click the F1 key to access the file manager on Batocera.
- Go To Applications
- Go To Xterm & type in one of the following:
curl -L brave.batocera.pro | bash
curl -L chrome.batocera.pro | bash
curl -L chromium.batocera.pro | bash
curl -L edge.batocera.pro | bash
curl -L firefox.batocera.pro | bash
curl -L opera.batocera.pro | bash
Step 2. Installing Sunshine to Batocera
- Click the F1 key to access the file manager on Batocera.
- Go To Applications
- Go To Xterm & type in one of the following:
curl -L sunshine.batocera.pro | bash
- Take a picture or screenshot of the screen that pops up at the end of the installation! This screen has tons of info you will need!
- Head over to the web browser you installed and type in the URL “this computer” on the picture you took as stated above. It should say “https://localhostXXXX” (use this step anytime you need to add a pin or connect to your sunshine server)
- your first time going it will ask you to create a password to your sunshine server.
- Once your signed in you can add other devices “pins” by clicking pin in the top left corner (the “pin” will be given to you on your secondary device in the next step)
Step 3. Installing Moonlight onto Secondary Device
Laptop & PC
- Go to https://github.com/moonlight-stream/moonlight-qt/releases
- Download the version you need
iPhone & Android
- Go to https://apps.apple.com/us/app/moonlight-game-streaming/id1000551566
- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.limelight
- Open app & Allow access to network when prompted
Step 4. Connecting Sunshine and Moonlight with “PIN”
- The Moonlight app will search for any system on your network with sunshine running. Your system should pop up as “Batocera”
- Click Batocera and then you will be given a “PIN”
- Head over to the web browser you installed and type in the URL on the picture you took as stated above. It should say “https://localhostXXXX” (use this step anytime you need to add a pin or connect to your sunshine server)
- Click pin in the top left corner
- Add your pin from moonlight app
Step 5. YURRRR in.
